FLESHING OUT YOUR CHARACTERS

Writing a novel? How well do you know your characters?

Do you know the colour of your heroine's hair, her eyes, her height, the clothes she usually wears? Does your hero have a nervous tic? Was his heart broken? What did she study in college?

Character Development or as we call it fleshing out your character is a great way to add depth to your characters and story.

If you find it difficult to describe them or stumble through the character development process, create an outline of each character in your book or maybe even interview them. Ask them everything you need to know about them to be able to write about them.
